Inflatable Paddle Board Review

Siren are a German SUP company specialising in "high-end iSUPs at a fair price".

The Mahi board is similar to the Bic Performer in that it fits the traditional rounded Allround shaping with some slight differences. There is a slightly more elongated style that sits between touring nose and the traditional rounded shaping.  The result is an decent tracking and glide but still falls short against sleeker Allround boards. The lack of nose rocker means it is more suited to flat water. We would prefer the board without the rear bungees. This would enable pivot turns and greatly improve manoeuvrability.

A good Allround flat water family iSUP which would suit beginners and more experienced paddlers wo are looking for a stable small touring paddle board.

A good Allround flat water board. Nice and stable with good overall volume, the Mahi 10 6 family board which will suit beginners and more experienced paddlers looking for small touring trips.

Tracking and glide are better than most traditional shaped Allround boards but it isn't a match for sleeker styled boards. The on-water feel is good and it responds well in calm. Manoeuvrability is generally good, especially when the rear bungees are removed, allowing you to step back on the board.

Expect to pay £750 (without paddle).

More information and where to buy at

As with all the boards reviewed, the Siren Mahi 10 6 is manufactured at one of the World's top iSUP factories. We can therefore guarantee the materials, accessories and manufacturing processes are of the highest quality.

The board has a double layer construction with double layered rails. This results in a stiff 10.5kg board.

The Siren Mahi 106 has asingle fin set-up.

The central fin is an 8" screw plate fin which fits in to a standard US Fin Box.

The Siren Mahi 10 6 comes with a Bravo (version 3) pump and inflates the board easily and quickly. In our experience the Red Paddle Titan and the Bravo SUP 4 are better pumps.

The bag is a hardwearing wheeled back pack. Suitable for travel and general storage. Little to differentiate from most similar wheeled iSUP bags.

It doesn't come with a paddle but an aluminium 3 pcs paddle can be bought separately for approx. £50
