SUP in the UK is a rapidly growing sport and as it develops, the SUP community grows. There are some great groups and individuals who are keen to share their passion for SUP in the UK. In our experience, they are a friendly bunch all focussed on growing SUP as an inclusive sport.
Water Skills Academy
Based in Cornwall but with UK coverage, WSA brings together some of the UK's top water men and women. They run instructor qualifications, workshops, mentoring and consultancy across the disciplines of SUP, surfing, lifeguarding, coasteering and sit on top kayaking to support the water sport enthusiast and educationalist in their pursuit of a relationship with wind, water and waves while nurturing a vision of sustainability through responsibility.
In our experience, they are a very welcoming organisation and run great courses and some fantastic SUP adventures.
Psyched Paddleboarding - North Wales
Set up by Sian Sykes, a fully qualified outdoor instructor based in Anglesey and Snowdonia, in North Wales. Sian was the first person to Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) around Anglesey!
Psyched Paddleboarding provides stand up paddleboarding, SUP lessons in North Wales - Introduction to SUP, SUP Safari's, SUP Adventure Days, SUP Holidays, SUP Retreats, SUP Micro Adventures and SUP Safety & Awareness course. We also offer exciting holidays such as SUP retreats in Anglesey, North Wales, to the West Coast of Scotland and further afield. Urban Recovery - London
Urban Recovery provide BSUPA recognised lessons/ training courses and club activities, corporate and party group activities, equipment rentals and sales. Based in London, SUP locations include the historic Docklands in the east, Regent's Canal, the Grand Union Canal and the mighty Thames River.
Urban Recovery also provide SUP Advernture Trips to Wales, Sweden, Ibiza and Portugal
Pembrokeshire Board Riders Club
Run by long-time waterman Dean Gough, Pembrokeshire Board Riders Club is a nonprofitable local club that runs sessions for all age groups, sharing a love for Pembrokeshire & the ocean and educating & developing it's local community members in a fun & safe way.
The club can offer access to & understanding of the natural environment that we have on our doorstep by taking to the sea with surfing & SUPing in the amazing unique coastal national park with the additional health benefit bonus of being active.

Harlyn Surf School - Cornwall
Harlyn have a been running SUP lessons since 2006. Taster lessons mainly take place on the Camel estuary in Padstow or if conditions allow from Harlyn beach. They also run some fantastic tours, both locally and further afield.
Nick Thorn Surf Coaching - North Devon
Nick Thorn Surf Coaching was one of the first schools in the UK to teach stand up paddleboarding. Based in Woolacombe, Nick and his team run lessons and tours on North Devon's stunning coastline.
Active 360 - London
Active 360 run a full range of courses and guided paddles across London. Locations include: Paddington, Kew Bridge, Putney, Brentford Lock and Islington.
Guided Packages also include trips to Sardinia, Scotland, Ireland and Slovenia.
Lagoon Watersports - Brighton
Lagoon Watersports offer a comprehensive range of SUP tuition and recreational paddling in a marina setting.

Lake District Paddle Boarding
Based in the heart of the English lakes in Cumbria on the shores of Derwentwater nr Keswick.Lake, District Paddle Boarding is Cumbria’s only dedicated Stand Up Paddle Boarding provider.
They provide a comprehensive range of lessons and tours on Derwentwater and the river Derwent.
