JP AllroundAir 10'6"

Inflatable Paddle Board Review

JP are another brand which consistently produces performance high-end boards and the AllroundAir continues the trend.

We've seen a move by some brands towards sleeker shapes and JP is at the forefront of this. The Allround air has a pointed nose and more parallel lines, making it quicker through the water. Whilst the 32" width and square tail provides the stability.

Manoeuvrability has suffered slightly but turning is reasonable. It can also pick up small waves.

A great Allround iSUP which has improved its touring capability whilst maintaining the fun aspect.

A great allround board with a smooth glide that delivers against all our Allround Inflatable Paddle Board Performance Criteria.

The Allround Air continues with the sleek shape brought in for 2017. Manoeuvrability has suffered slightlyand it's not as playful as some. It's ideally suited to paddle boarders looking for to paddle greater distances with the stability of 32" width but without the restrictions of touring boards. Stability is further enhanced with a square tail, making it perfect for beginners looking for extra speed without the instability of longer thinner boards.

Expect to pay £1,049 (with glass fibre paddle included).

As with all the boards reviewed, the JP AllroundAir is manufactured at one of the World's top iSUP factories. We can therefore guarantee the materials, accessories and manufacturing processes are of the highest quality.

The JP AllroundAir comes in a Light Edition (LE) or the Superior Edition (SE). We prefer the more robust SE version which has a triple layer polymer fusion construction with double layered rails. This results in a light weight (9kg) yet extremely stiff and responsive board.

The JP AllroundAir has a single fin set-up.

The 9" screw plate central fin sits in a standard US Fin Box.

The JP AllroundAir comes with a JP branded 2 way pump. As with most pumps on the market, it's manufactured by Bravo (version 4) and inflates the board easily and quickly. In our experience the Red Paddle Titan is the only hand pump currently included in iSUP packages which out performs the Bravo SUP 4.

The bag is a hardwearing wheeled back pack. Suitable for travel and general storage. Little to differentiate from most similar wheeled iSUP bags.

The paddle supplied is a standard aluminium paddle.  Some retailers offer free or discounted upgrades to a glass fibre paddle. We would strongly recommend an upgrade as it will greatly improve your paddle boarding experience over a standard aluminium or alloy paddle. A carbon paddle would be an upgrade but not really an essential expense, other than for the most experienced paddle boarders.
